Beautifully crafted wooden mold from Japan. This hand carved wooden mold is called Kashigata in Japan. It was used as a mold for making Wagashi (sweets). The vintage Kashigata mold was made by skilled craftsman using chisels to create the intricate detail. We don't usually see a cuttlefish in these molds.
