Returns Policy

PACKAGE DELIVERED (but you haven't actually seen it yet)

Please be aware that a neighbor or building manager could receive your package and be holding it for you. Your tracking confirmation will register the package as received. We have found that "missing" packages usually show up within 48 hours. All our packages are insured, so you will always get the item(s) you purchased.

RETURNS FOR WEB-STORE ONLY

Our return/exchange policy is open for 30 days from the purchase date. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

Items returned must not have been worn, altered, used, washed or damaged and should include the original packaging. Bath products, personal care products, gift cards and discounted sale items cannot be returned.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase included with your return item.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

You will be responsible for paying for the return shipping costs. Return shipping costs are non-refundable. Please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot be responsible for items that are lost in shipping.

RETURNING A WEB PURCHASE TO ONE OF OUR STORES

Please follow the below:

1. Returns are within 30 days of purchase.

2. If you want store credit, return it at any store.  If you want to get a credit on a credit card, please return the items and receipt from purchase (if you do not have a receipt, we can help retrieve that from our end).  

3.  The credit to a credit card will show up in approximately 7 days after you receive the return confirmation email from the warehouse.

REFUNDS

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
If your item is approved for return, a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, usually within 7 business days of our confirmation email.

PLEASE NOTE: your refund will NOT include the original shipping cost.

If you haven’t received a refund in a timely manner, first check your bank account, then contact your credit card company or bank. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

EXCHANGES
We will exchange an item for another like item if it is defective or damaged. Submit your exchange request with your reason for the exchange along with your name and a phone number where you can be reached at webstore@thegardener.com. Once we receive your request, we will outline the steps for exchanging your defective or damaged item.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
