Local artist, Jutta Frankie, uses traditional Japanese basketry techniques to wrap stones. The material used is binder cane, which comes from the glossy outer skin of the rattan vine. The cane is commonly used in weaving chair seats or as a binding material in basketry and wicker furniture.

Beautifully wrapped stone measures 3 1/16 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide.
